11/28/2023 0 Comments Lone foothill with ruins![]() So, just to be extra clear, I was in kind of a pocket with two walls being the back two walls of the building and the third and fourth side being a hill. I was right in the corner and standing in the corner I got the sprocket symbol instantly. Go into the logical corner around back where you'd res so as to not aggro any mobs, the place where you can clearly sit and eat before getting killed and turn toward the wall and try there. I died on the front steps, then res'd after walking around the building to the right. When you're looking at the front of the building, go around the right side. Some people are getting thrown off I think because the back wall isn't straight. Still works with 1.12 as of Sep 20th 2006.Ĭomment by ThottbotIt's January 9th, 2006, 12:39pm EST, the 1.9 patch has been installed for a few days now and I just got the book through the back wall. If you get aggro, make a run for it and die in a good spot (there is a space in the wall you got through at its northen-most end where you can exit and the ogres won't follow you outside) ![]() Simply right-click it to get the book, right through the house wall! Negotiate your way out from the compaund the way you came. Move the cursor along the wall until you see it shift into the "use"-cursor. Resurrect on that spot, behind the house.įrom above, the house looks like a "T" with a short base. If he does, run behind the target building and continue along the mountainside until he drops, or simply stand behind the house and let him smash you. There is one ogre that'll probably aggro on you. Your goal is *not* the main building, but the smaller house with a belltower. I walk along the northern-most mountainside inside the compound. Enter there and very very carefully negotiate the ogres in there. When you are directly west of the ruins you will see a part of the wall with a hole in it. There are some lvl 32-34 yetis roaming there, no big deal. Go to the Growless cave (38,68) and continue around the ruins clock-wise. ![]() As rogue and druid it's of course easier, since you have stealth, but the way you do it is basically the same:Įnter the ruins from the WEST, not on the road. I've done it as rogue, druid, warrior and hunter. Comment by peeweeswedenThis quest is easily soloable as lvl 34, regardless of your class.
